Résumé

OLA Information system (©SOERE OLA-IS, AnaEE-France, INRA Thonon-les-Bains, developed by Eco-Informatics ORE INRA Team) has been developed to meet data management needs of lake environmental research observatories in order to make data available for scientific communities. Software architecture of this IS is structured around (i) a shared central component dedicated to generic functions and (ii) modular components specific to lake thematics. The creation of the IS is done by inheriting the core component and using the appropriate modular components. SI is developed with the Java language (version 8). The components are Java projects that follow the structuring of a "multi-module" Maven project. The web interfaces are developed by using the framework JSF with Primefaces user interface component library. Spring and Hibernate frameworks complete the development tools. PostgreSQL is the relational database management system used. (2019-01-18). This information system makes it possible to store and make available physico-chemical data, biodiversity data (phytoplankton, zooplankton, fishes), data from multiparameter probes, chlorophyll, primary production, etc.

Résumé

The AnaEE (Analysis and Experimentation on Ecosystems) Research Infrastructure offers experimental facilities for studying ecosystems and biodiversity. A pipeline featuring several applications is developed, based on interoperability of its components and the use of shared semantic artifacts, mainly AnaeeThes thesaurus and OBOE-based AnaeeOnto ontology (to be published). The goal of this pipeline is to generate interoperable datasets and the associated metadata records. The AnaEE semantic workflow consists of 3 steps: 

 

At step 1 the observed /measured variable and the acquisition contexts are modeled as a generic graph based on the ontology. 

At step 2 a dedicated pipeline allows the automation of the annotation process and the production of graph-hosted semantized data. 

At step 3, a second pipeline is devoted to the exploitation of these semantized data through the generation of standardized metadata records (presently GeoDCAT and ISO) and, data files (presently in NetCDF and csv format) from selected perimeters (acquisition sites, measured variables, experimental factors, years...) The semantized data and metadata produced are intended to feed discovery and access portals, data repositories and (Virtual Research Environment) VRE-type platforms.

Résumé

The AnaEE (Analysis and Experimentation on Ecosystems, ESFRI) Research Infrastructure offers experimental facilities for studying ecosystems and biodiversity. A distributed Information System (IS) is developed, based on semantic interoperability of its components and the use of common vocabularies (AnaeeThes thesaurus and an OBOE-based
ontology). Discovery and access portals are fed by information (rdf triples) produced by the semantic annotation of AnaEE distributed resources: relational databases and modeling platforms. A first pipeline is developed for the automation of the annotation process and the production of the semantic data, annotation that may represent a huge conceptual and practical work. A second pipeline is devoted to the exploitation of these semantic data through the generation i) of standardized ISO and GeoDCAT metadata records and ii) of data files (NetCDF format) from selected perimeters (experimental sites, years, experimental factors, measured variables...). Genericity of the tools make them usable in different contexts of ontologies and databases.
